Altamira Fine Art opens in Scottsdale

Altamira Fine Art is pleased to announce that it will open a Scottsdale-based gallery in Thursday, November 7, 2013, 7:00-9:00 p.m. (during the "Fall for the Arts" ArtWalk). Altamira Fine Art will feature work by select Altamira artists.

"Our Arizona clients have been asking when we might open a Scottsdale gallery," Altamira director Mark Tarrant said. "Now we can serve important markets in two locations."

The boutique, 1800 square foot gallery space in Scottsdale will fill a niche in the Scottsdale gallery scene, where few of Altamira's artists have representation. Altamira Fine Art is located in the heart of the Downtown Arts District, next door to LewAllen Galleries and Bonner David Gallery.

A special focus of the gallery will be the secondary market, says Tarrant.

The Grand Opening of Altamira Fine Art takes place Thursday, November 7, 2013, 7:00-9:00 p.m., just in time for The West Select Western Art Invitational Sale and Exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum. Altamira will feature the work of Glenn Dean, R. Tom Gilleon, Dan Namingha, John Nieto, Howard Post, Fritz Scholder and other select Altamira artists.

Altamira Fine Art was founded in 2009 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, by Mark Tarrant, and specializes in Western Contemporary artwork.
