How I see Myself
Of the Earth and Sky
Last fall I was on a road trip with my son visiting colleges in Idaho, Washington and Montana. We passed this truck somewhere in Idaho and I spent about 20 minutes taking photos of the truck from every angle. It was a perfect setting and as I got closer and peered in the window, I imagined the history in the dusty, worn seats, rusted steel and pitted chrome. It always seems so powerful when I look in the window of an old abandoned car. It’s like looking into the car's soul.
